Hawaii #2

A mountain and a stadium.  This is one of Gwenn's favorite sights!  This comes right over a huge hill.
Can I just say that I love to look at palm trees?
These are those weeds I was talking about.  Bouganvillia.  I'll get an up close pic too. This is sun set.  From the same lanai.  I got some REALLY good shots of this tonight!!!

ALOOOOOOOHA!!!

I made it!  We got here last night.  Let me just say that 10 1/2 hours is a very long time.  Carter was the best baby!  He only fussed 2 times during the WHOLE FLIGHT!!!  Both times he was just too tired and fell asleep shortly there after.  Thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers.  This was one of the first things I saw after getting in the car.  How exciting yeah?
These are everywhere!  Jadyn and Julia each picked me one on the walk home from school.  The weeds here are even beautiful.  I'll get a picture of them later.   I don't remember what this is called but I'm certain that I don't have the kind of balance it takes to do it!   A little more ocean.  Surprised!  They're surrounded. This was the almost sunrise out my lanai this morning.  Seeing as I was up at 5:15 with Carter, I got to see it.  This is the view from their apartment.  I'll give you different directions soon!

11 Months

Oh my Carter Baby, you are 11 months old!  It's so hard to believe.  You are getting so big.  You stand on your own as long as you don't know you're doing it.  The front door is your favorite place to be.  I think it's because the window is the only one in the house low enough for you to look out.  Checking the world out through your own front door.  That's a great place to be.
You've been sick for the last week and a half but it's the first time you've even had a sniffle.  I can't wait to see how you interact with your Hawaiian cousins.  They can't wait to play with you!  You are so sweet.  You started grabbing my chin this week and pulling my face toward you.  It seemed so grown up.   This is a pretty average face for you.  It's almost like I'm getting a stink eye but then you start laughing.  I am blessed to have such a happy baby!  I love you Carter!

A Peck of Pickled Peppers

We are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this morning.  They are playing out a bunch of Mother Goose stories and while they were doing Peter Piper, Michael came up to me and he said, "I'm no good at picking pickled peppers."  I said, "You aren't?"  He said, "Yeah, I'm good at picking Matoes."  I said, "You are good at picking tomatoes!"
P.S. I'm leaving in 3 days!!!

Word of the day

Drook or Drooked.  Any takers?  Michael uses this often.  You guess and I'll let you know if you're right!

10 on Tuesday

1. I got to help out at Michael's school for the Valentine's festivities last week.  It was so much fun!
2. Dustin (the brown haired boy standing at the table) told his grandma that I make better fruit dip than she does.  For the record, I didn't make it.  I was simply passing it out and another mom bought it to go with her fruit tray.
3. This is my new favorite picture of Carter. 4. I got a new Cyber-shot at Circuit City's closing sale.  I just wanted a small something I could bring anywhere.  Yay sales!
5. Brian sent me a dozen roses for Valentine's day.  Thanks Baby! 6. While shopping in Target, I overheard a passerby tell his friend to have a happy VD.  I laughed out loud and told him I appreciate his sense of humor.
7. Brian and Carter had matching bedhead.  I was only allowed to take these pictures because I promised Brian I wouldn't put them on the internet.  So, here is Carter's bedhead.  So cute!  And Brian's face.  No hair.  :º) 8. I've been folding laundry like crazy lately.  I'd like to have the whole lot done before I leave.
9. I will see this cute face in ONE WEEK!!!!!  This is the most current picture of Isaac that I have received.  Gwenn bought this outfit just in case she ever had a boy.  It's at least 2 years old.  I love it! 10. I really can't wait to see those Bresslauers!  I admit, I am a little nervous about the 10 1/2 hour flight with an 11 month old.  Pray for us.

Daddy Got a New Pair of Pants...

Friday we got a chance to do some shopping as a family.  Brian found two pair of slacks.  Upon our arrival home from church Michael was inspecting a pair of said slacks (which happened to be on Brian at the time of inspection).  He was checking out the pockets as Brian was taking Carter out of his car seat.  All of a sudden he thinks it a good idea to lift his feet and swing from Daddy's rear pockets.  Brian and I were laughing so hard we couldn't even tell him that it wasn't a very good idea.  It's making me belly laugh just recalling it!  We continued on like this for about 5 minutes before we could tell him not to do it again.  Brian said "The only thing that would've made it funnier would've been if the pockets gave out and ripped forcing him to fall on the floor."
Happy Monday everyone!  I hope this is a great start to a fabulous week!

10 on Tuesday

1. Carter is sick again today.  He's wearing it all over his face.  Sorry it's not very focused.
2. Only two weeks till we leave for Honolulu!!!  I can't even believe it's coming so fast!
3. I can't wait to be the Room Mother at Michael's Valentine's day party tomorrow!
4. Michael is sitting on Brian's shoulders giving him a "Haircut."  It's so cute!  He even washes it like they do at the salon.
5. I have 6 loads of laundry that need folded.
6. Carter is between slap happy and whine today.  Sing it with me..."Roller Coaster"
7. He's also taught himself to climb the gates.  He can't get over them (yet) but he was standing on one today just crying.  Inches off the floor.
8. I need to get my hair cut and colored.
9. It was really great to see everyone this weekend.
10. I tried something new today.  Meet our tube pictures.

Monday, Monday.

Note: This is the longest Michael's hair has been since his first haircut.  And... I don't know who likes the dog toys more, Pablo or my boys.
This about sums up my every day.  I love staying home! Carter and I went to Missy's baby shower this weekend.  This is the most I've ever seen Missy eat and she was a VERY happy Mama with that full plate! Carter got some quality time with his God Father.  This is Kevin.  He's the proud Papa of the above baby!
Look at that Baby!!!  She is so cute!  I can not wait to meet that Kellen Baby!  He'll be here any day now!  She's 35 weeks now.  I had Michael 4 days ago and Carter in 2 weeks from now.  I think that kind of freaked her out.  :º)  They are really getting excited!  Good luck Jenkins!  I love you!
This is Francesca.  She is so smart and really fun.  She LOVED Carter Baby!  Here they are riding her horse.  She was bringing us laughter all afternoon.

What a Find!

Today, when I was getting ready to feed Carter, I found this bib in his drawer.  I almost forgot how cute it was.  We bought this for Michael when Keith and Cille got married and we didn't want him to mess up his little tux before the pictures.  I realize that it's kind of dumb but I just love it!  Plus my kids both made it look even cuter!

10 on Tuesday

1. Dad's having surgery today for a HUGE kidney stone.
2. I am going to Hawaii in 21 days!!!
3. It is Aunt Cheese's birthday today!  HAPPY 28 years Cille!!!!  Love you!!!
4. Carter really likes the sound of his own voice.  He's been yelling a lot lately just to hear himself.
5. In the country you can actually hear the ice breaking off the trees as it melts.  It was so neat.  It sounded like glass shattering.
6. I'll be taking Carter with me to Gwenn's!
7. Brian and Michael are staying here so they can go to school.  Poor Chaps.
8. January was so beautiful.  I took a LOT of outdoor pictures.
9. Brian told Carter that he better either walk before we leave or he has to wait till we get back.
10. The other day, when Brian and I were going to bed, we found Michael sideways in our bed.  My loving husband found a piece of thread and started tickling Michael's face.  He proceeded to giggle like a 12 year old boy.  I haven't seen a grin like that in years.
