WOAH!!! Now That's a Rapid Change!

So earlier it was all ice.  Now... we've been dumped on.  They said we were going to get a "wintery mix."  I guess they weren't kidding.

You can really see how it's coming down.  It has definitely worsened since I took this picture.  Taylors... Here's the snow you wanted!!!  I hope you get to go play in it.

It's a Beautiful Day

It all started last night.  First we had snow.  Then we had ice.  Then we had rain.  Now we have glossy snow.

Brian's car was iced over.  You can see the reflection of his front tire on the snow. This is a raspberry bush on the edge of our property.   This is a tree right outside our bedroom window.  I didn't even have to leave the house to take these!!! One of the MANY birds hanging out in our yard.  I just love the ice.  Good for looking, bad for driving.  It's just so beautiful!!!

CCYM weekend

We had a great weekend in Berea.  This is Ninja Ned.  (His real name is Nathan) :º)  We were playing a game where you had to get signatures of people who fit the criteria without doubling.  It's actually kind of hectic but fun!

10 Months

Wow!  My Carter Baby is already 10 months old!  He had a pretty good 10 month old day.  He ate some yogurt and some of his brother's toast.  He played with Tiffany from Help me grow.  Napped.  Whined about his poor aching gums.  Played some more.  Walked with his walking wagon from Brandi!  Ate some oatmeal.  Ate some of Mommy's dinner.  Got into something messy so Daddy took off his overalls.  Played downstairs for a while.  Finally, went to bed.  Good times. 

I can't believe that in just two months you will be a whole year old.  You are so big!  My sweet cuddly boy.  I love you so much.  I am fully enjoying watching you grow.  You are very special.  You love your big brother and all his things.  I'm pretty sure he likes your toys more than you do.  You have changed our lives Little Man! This is how you spent most of your evening.  Daddy and Mommy were at opposing ends of the living room.  You would walk all the way across and get mad when you hit the wall so we took turns turning you around for another lap.  Michael never accomplished this task.  He would hold onto his walker/wagon and fall flat on his face.  We couldn't believe it on Monday when you just stood up and walked across the room.  You are just too big.  I love you Carter Baby!

Sorry Stuart

I just realized that there were no pictures of Stu on here from their visit.  How else are you supposed to know he was here?  Sorry!  Here he is!  This is Pappy's.  It's a variety of hot sauces.  His stocking came with two different kinds.

Aunt Cheese and Uncle Sewart.  We didn't see much of him without that Redbull in his hand. :º) CHEESE!

Hmmm...

I just realized, that last year, I blogged 50 times.  That isn't too good if you look at a whole year.  Good thing I didn't start till the middle of May.  I think I'll try to double that.  Two blogs a week is certainly not too much to ask.  Right?

It's Crazy Hair Day here at the Hassels'

This is my new window hanging that Sarah gave me.  I thought it was a good way to show the white outside.  I do love having all 4 seasons.

Ten on Tuesday

1. Carter started waving on the 3rd.  

2. I finally got a picture of it!

3. Michael and Keith played a little hide and seek.  It was pretty funny.  Keith would say, "Is he over here?" and Michael would answer every time!  "No!  I'm not over there!"

4. We had a lot of fun with Keith and Cille.

5. This picture is Michael and Keith hiding from the Mommy Monster.  Ha ha ha! 

6. He got really mad when I found them and took the blanket.  It was very funny!7. Everyone loves Aunt Cheese.8. Aunt Cheese is what Michael called her the first time he tried to say Aunt Cille.  It's been Aunt Cheese ever since.

9. Michael is whining about nap time.

10. We were all sad to see Keith and Cheese go yesterday.  We had a fantastic time!

Communion Discussion

Since Daddy's a preacher we have communion pretty regularly.  Today while Brian was explaining the "blood", 

Michael -"Mommy, That's Blood?!?"  

Me - "Yes Honey.  It's juice too."

Michael - "It's Blood Juice?"

Me - "Yeah, I guess it is."

Michael - "Do we drink the blood juice?"

Me - "Yes we drink it."

Michael - "Why is it blood juice?"

Me - "Because Jesus died for us."

Michael - "He died for us?"

Me - "Yes Buddy"

Michael - "And we drink the blood juice?"

Me - "Yes Buddy."

The WHOLE time I'm trying to shush him because it's church and we are the only two talking other than Brian.  When we went up for communion he couldn't stop talking about the blood juice.  He was telling Uncle Keith all about it.

More On Christmas with the Hassles

The Hassels are in.  Plus two Millers!  

Pat opening her stocking. Carter's pile on the left and Michael's pile on the right.  Hardly seems fair.  I wish Carter had a few more gifts or that Michael had a few less.  I really don't want Michael to think he's always going to get more.  And MORE importantly I don't want Carter to think that Michael will always have more.  

One thing I can say is that Keith and Cille were VERY careful to spend the same amount of money and get the same number of gifts for each of them.  Thanks guys!  Uncle Dan (Michael's God father) took him to see Monster Trucks!  Michael LOVED IT!  He and Daddy had a very long but WONDERFUL time with Dan that day.  Michael came home and couldn't stop talking about the flying trucks.  He loved the wheelies and the car crushing and the noise (as long as he had his ear muffs on). One of the Grave Digger drivers.  Apparently, they have a few.  I had no idea.  Doesn't this guy look stoked to meet Michael?  Ha ha ha!

Christmas again

We had Hassel family Christmas today.  We did things a little different this year.  Every couple only spent $30 on each individual and we pulled names for stockings.  It was great to see the creativity on the $30 limit.  The boys got spoiled rotten.  I'll have pictures in the next day or two.  

We are currently playing Monopoly on the Wii.  I've never seen a game of Monopoly like this.  They are ALL crazy!  Pat MAY have just blown on the Wii remote before she rolled.  HA HA HA HA!  She has had a couple of choice beverages this evening.  It's a loud but very fun time.

I finally have a webcam!  I am signed on to skype and I only have one friend.  :)  We all need to get Skype and we can video conference with EVERYONE!!!  It's really kind of exciting!  Maureen, this is your chance to see Carter every day! (or week)

Mish Mosh and More

Wow!  It has been a busy holiday season.  Michael made us some ornaments.  I LOVE THEM!  Here are two of them.

This about sums up Carter's first Christmas.  He tried to eat EVERYTHING!  Paper mostly, but you can see here he's trying to eat the shirt right off his own body!  All in all we had a wonderful time and my Carter baby seemed to really enjoy himself.  Merry Christmas Dude!   This is not a look of disappointment.  He had a Fabulous day!  He was a little confused about Santa though.  He thought Santa was coming to stay at his house.  Not just stopping and dropping.  When he woke up he said "Mommy!!!  Let's go see Santa!"  I think he figured Santa was snoozing on the couch.   Morgan Family Christmas!  YAY!  What a great time we all had.  Yes, Dan is wearing his Cavs wig.  He wore it all night.  :º)  This was Carter's and Isaac's first Morgan Christmas gift exchange.  *sigh*  One day they'll know.  

The next day we went to the Currans' and the Bowles were there!  Maddy, Michael and Claire were playing piano.  Grandpa's new dog ate one of Carter's binkies.  Let's just say G.G. REALLY LOVES his dog.  :º)   This is one SERIOUS game of dots.  

On the 27th we went to Columbus.  CONGRATULATIONS Mr. and Mrs. Chad Craig!  I love you both so much!  I am so proud of you!  We had a great time at the reception but I forgot my camera in the car and it was two blocks away from the building. What can you do?  

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  We rocked in the new year at the Vargos'.  We literally almost missed the ball drop because we were playing "Rock Band."  It was SO MUCH FUN!  Margaret was on bass, Gwenn was holding down the drums, Morgan was singing and I was playing guitar.  Our girl band was not as good as Dan's buddy band but 2 of us never even played.  Good freakin' times!
