Home for a minute

We are back from Lakeside.  It is so peaceful.
I now realize that CCYM should really be spelled W~O~R~K.  We went up there on Thursday the 12th.  We did not stop working till about 12:00 on Sunday.  Whew!  What a weekend!  I was one of the lucky ones who got to stay for the week following.
I did enjoy some mozzarella sticks at the patio.  Katherine Pershey and I used to enjoy them almost daily when we went to Lakeside Institute as youth.  I haven't enjoyed them like that since.  Then we would complete our meal with some Toft's Ice cream.  YUMMY!  I have found my favorite Toft's flavor to be Bugaboo fudge.  WOW!  Black raspberry ice cream doused with fudge complete with mini raspberry cups.  YUM YUM YUM!!!!!  I sure hope I can enjoy it in Heaven.  It's that good!
We got to fly our kites on the dock.
I purchased my very first Vera Bradley anything while we were there.  She makes this sleeve for a curling iron (or flat iron).  I couldn't help it!  It's genius!  You can put it in hot!
I also found some organic cotton shirts with a green Lakeside message.  So Michael and I have coordinating shirts. :)  Is that too much?  They didn't have any cute Baby green shirts so Carter didn't get one. :(  Sorry Dude.
After all that shopping I FINALLY got to see my girls!!!  Gwenn, Aunt Linda, Jadyn and Julia came to Lakeside Thursday and Friday.  It was so refreshing to see them.  It's been since October.  It's just a shame we only had 25 hours.  While they were there we did get some Sloopy's pizza and plenty of Bugaboo fudge!  Oh, and for the first time in my life, we played shuffle board!  It is a good time.  Who knew?
Wednesday we're out again.  We are going to hang out with our Bostonian family and then we're off to Altamont for Stuart's "graduation".
I'm sure I will have plenty to blog about from there or once we return.

What a weekend

Whew!  It was a great one but I'm sure glad it's over!
Friday~Brian and I went to Wheeling for our anniversary date.  We went to a restaurant called "The Metropolitan Citi Grill"  Simply amazing!  Quaint little place.  Intimate.  WONDERFUL food!  Then we headed over to Oglebay park and went put-putting.  We used to go put-putting all the time.  We haven't really even seen any down here in the year we've been.  Rita, Jaime, Jenna and Jerry watched the boys for us so we got a night out.  It was fabulous!  Thanks again Gusts!
Saturday~Michael, Carter and I went to East Palestine for Adam's and Chris's Graduation parties.  Adam's on Saturday and Chris's on Sunday.  It was so refreshing to see all the people we miss so much from EP!  Really reminds me just how much I miss them all.
Sunday~ After Chris's party we went to Babies 'R' Us to get Carter a new car seat.  We bought Michael's down here but Toys 'R' Us had NO comfy seats for the Little Man.  Then we drove 2 hours home and Angela Gordon (my maid of honor) was waiting at my house for me to get home!  Welcome to the country friend.
Monday~ Angela and I went to the zoo with the dudes.  What a long day.  It took us 4 hours to make a 2 hour trip home!  4 hours!!!  First, we were entirely too dehydrated.  Second, we drank so much when we got out of the zoo that we had 2 potty breaks on the way home!  Third, Michael decided to play with his water bottle and choke on the water.  Naturally, he puked.  All over himself and his spanking new car seat.  Stop #3 was to clean him up so he could be dry enough that we could open the windows.  It smelled AWEFUL!!!  Lucky for our noses, I packed an extra outfit!
Tomorrow~ We aren't doing ANYTHING!  I'm definitely taking a nap with my babies!
