Michael's Funny Day

First, My very first pair of shox has finally been downgraded to lawn mowing (or long moaning) shoes.  When I woke Michael up from nap time, I had said lawn mowing shoes on.  Michael says, "Mommy!  How'd you get those in here?"  me ~ "How did I get what in here?" Michael ~ "Where did you get those dirty shoes?" me ~ "I was wearing them when I was mowing" Michael ~ "I'm going to go to the store and buy some of those dirty shoes!" me ~ "You don't buy dirty shoes.  You MAKE dirty shoes!"  Later, he told Brian that he was going make his own dirty shoes.
This gooey guy was purchased by Ruth in Lakeside.  Michael has, so effectionately, named him Wormy Guy or Orange Fella. (Dependeng on when you ask him.)
This is his new body washing thing.  I made the mistake of referring to it as that little Orange Fella.  He said "THAT'S not my little Orange Fella!"  I said "Oh no?  Well what's his name?"  He said, "I think I'll name him Squoogie!"  I said, "Squoogie?"  He said "Yup!  His name is Squoogie!"
After his bath was over he says to me (while looking in the mirror) Mommy!  I can't talk!  I said "No?  Why not?"  He says "Cause I'm doing this!"  So I asked him if I could take his picture making this face and he said "SURE!"  :ยบ)
Then, he was on the couch with Brian and decided he needed some pizza.  After he finished it, he said, "I need something to wipe the pizza smell away."  Brian said, "You need something to wash it down?"  Michael ~ "Yes!"
It has been a very funny day around here!

Youth Annual Conference

We had Youth Annual Conference last weekend.  Susan decided to treat CCYM (Conference Council on Youth Ministry) to something special because we work so hard all weekend.  We were going to go to Typhoon Lagoon but they closed due to inclimate weather.  So...after a full morning on the phone she finally found something for us to do.  We went to Great Wolf Lodge.  We all had a chance to get something under $10.  The kids at my table decided we should get 4 parts of a meal.  It was a wonderful, filling idea.  We had some super nachos, 4 mini burgers, a cheese pizza and a volcano sundae!  After such a meal, I was wishing I was bulimic.  I over ate.  Bad.  (for the record, I would never turn to such methods) On Friday we went to Cedar Point.  This is all we got to see of Cedar Point.  We were in the ballroom and we had 3 worship rallies!!!  The turnout was amazing!  We had foot washing stations instead of our normal communion.  It was a fantastic change of pace!  Lets be honest, giving teenagers squirt bottles full of water, somebody's bound to get wet! We had a carnival on Saturday evening after business was over.  This whole youth group stopped at the face painting booth and every one of them got a mustache!!!  It was AWESOME!  We had snow cones, slushies, Basketball and Volleyball tournaments, a sand castle contest and some carnival games provided by local youth groups!  It was loads of fun and we raised more than $600 for YSF(Youth Service Fund)!  Sunday worship was amazing!  I think it was the best one yet!  We somehow kept the masses awake!  We used our youth and their incredible talents to worship the Lord!  Spectacular!   So, I know I'm in a small minority of people who actually know who Phineas and Ferb are and what they wear.  This small picture is the best I could do.  Ferb is in the middle.  The girl in this picture is Kerry.  Her outfit made me think of Ferb EVERY TIME I LOOKED AT HER!   I HAD to take a picture!!!
We had a wonderful weekend and the youth were all INCREDIBLE!!!!!  Thanks a million to everyone who was there!  Thanks Mom for taking the boys so I could be part of such a special weekend!

10 on Tuesday

1. I think it's safe to say that Carter likes some good old family comfort food.  We all love Rigatoni made with pepperoni.  You should've seen the other guy!
2. Oh wait!  Here he is!  He looks like a mix between an Oompa Loompa and one of those people from the 30's who put the black face on.  Lets just say that bath time came early tonight! 3. We are no where close to being ready for conference.
4. We leave on Thursday.
5. Do you know what this is REALLY called?  I know you think you do.  Please put your guess in the comments.   6. Brian told Michael we will have to get him a laptop one day and Michael told us he wants a laptop just like Mommy's with an apple on it.  Ha ha ha!  I love my Mac.
7. We went to graduation parties this past weekend.  This is Christine, I babysat this girl from the time she was 2 weeks old.  I can not believe she just graduated!!!!!  We also went to Kayla's party and got to see the Kings!  She was about 5 when I met her.  It's so surreal to me.    8. These are the cards I made for Kayla and Christine.  I got this stamp set at Archiver's and I LOVE IT!  Congratulations Ladies!!!  I love you! 9. Carter has a small staff infection on his leg.  The doctor gave me some antibiotic ointment for it and if that doesn't clear it up he has some oral antibiotic I can fill.  Some silly bug got him in the yard about a week ago.  Saturday, it decided a week was a good time to turn large and infected.  Thanks to Doctor Daily!
10. This fog was so cool I just had to get a picture.  It was a hot day and a quick rain.  It just hovered over the road.

10 on Tuesday

1. So we were about to leave this morning for Michael's well appointment.  I said to him "Oh, deodorant might be a good idea!"  Michael said "Oh, I'll help you put on your deodorant!!!"  I said "I'm pretty sure I'm capable of doing it my self but thank you Buddy."  Michael- "Are you Mommy?  *small pause*  Are you?"  I was cracking up!
2. While getting in the car today, I realized that I forgot my ipod.  While I was  inside retrieving it I left the car door open.  Michael jumped all over me when I got back in the car.  "MOMMY!  YOU CAN'T LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN LIKE THAT!!!  The birds might come in here and get my backpack.  I will be REALLY ANGRY if they get my backpack.  They could eat my backpack and eat my toys and I will be really really angry if the birds eat my toys and make a hole in my backpack.  Miss Tiffany will be very upset if they eat my backpack."  Ha ha ha ha!
3. Michael is in the 75% for his weight!  How is that possible?  That might be the biggest percentage he's ever held!
4. I mowed about 40% of our yard today.  Once the storm clouds surrounded me I figured it would be wise to stop and go join the boys for dinner.
5. It's the first time I have had to mow since moving out of M & D's house.
6. I got to help with Michael's field day at school yesterday.  It was so much fun!  I actually have some sore leg muscles today.  I'm still not exactly sure what I did to earn such a pain.
7. I'm really excited to have made some friends at preschool so I can have a summer full of fun with the girls!
8. Tiffany and Cassie joined Weight Watchers on Monday so I'll see them every week for sure!!!  Good luck Ladies!
9. 22 days till Maureen turns 50!!!!!
10. Brian made it home safely!!!  It's good to have him home again.  Only one more week of school!!!!!
And here's a picture of Cassie and Kade watching the Preschool Spring Program on Sunday!
